A Very unique Jaguar.  Very quick & nimble early 1984 XJS 3.6 with 5 speed getrag transmission that was used as a test car when sent to the U.S. among a small group of cars to introduce the model to Jaguar North America.  Following a test/demo period, these cars were scheduled to be destroyed & parted out, but after sitting for a year at Jag NA in New Jersey, an executive convinced Coventry the cars had historical significance & the cars were auctioned to high Jag executives.  These were not grey market cars but shipped to the U.S. through Jag NA and were EPA compliant, etc.  Only 24 of these cars came to the U.S.  Of those, only two are known to have the black & mulberry color scheme.  Has two sets of wheels, original & later XJS factory wheels.  Has custom XJS breathable cover with the Jaguar logo on it.

1989 Jaguar XJS

You are looking at an exceptionally well kept, great looking classic Jaguar XJS V12 coupe, is one of the finest series that Jaguar makes.  The car has been meticulously serviced.  In fact, it runs & drives like new.  It has original paint in Signal Red & looks like new, combined with tan leather interior that is in excellent condition.  The engine is an exceptional V12, runs strong & smooth, provides the power you have come to expect from a Jaguar.  The transmission has the Jaguar mark on it as well & shifts like a new car.  The car runs great!  The engine compartment is clean & free of any leaks.  All electrical options are in working order.  Have installed Borla High Performance Exhaust, modified air cleaners, K&N air filters, new tires, & updated with an Alpine sound system.  This Jaguar is equipped with a climate control system & the A/C runs ice cold.  Heated seats are definitely a nice addition.
