1952 MG TD Roadster


Mileage - 35,401 - $23,500


History showed the restoration of the engine, transmission & suspension in 1977.  Purchased locally in 1978.  Sold locally in 1999 with 34,946 miles.  Vehicle has been beautifully maintained.  Recently updated with electronic fuel pump, and refurbished fuel tank.  

1953 MG TD

The MG TD was produced from 1949 to August of 1953. During that period there were many subtle changes, but nothing drastic. Only 98 TDs were made in 1949, 2 RHD and 96 LHD. There were a total of four model years – 1950, 1951, 1952 and 1953, and the models are nowadays referred to as the MG TD, TD2 and TD Mark II.

A former owner had completed a four-year frame off restoration & added a belt driven super charger,  before it was put in auction and purchased in August of 2001.  Concours Quality.

 Built in 1960 in Arizona and titled in California in 1962 as a Special Construction.  

394 Olds engine with a four barrel carburetor.  Transmission is B & M Turbohydromatic, alloy belly pan.

Chassis is a tube frame.  Body is Fiberglass.  It has original paint and interior.  Paint is original laquer with checking and crazing in some areas.   There is some cracking in the fiberglass in the rear where the license plate goes.

The interior has some stitches pulled apart, but is original.

The car has no front brakes, but stops well.  Car runs and drives very good.

It’s just a Great  Original car with Great “Patina”.

If you do not like Patina, it’s not for you.

1967 Jaguar MKII

In 1967, the Mark 2 with minor changes, was re-designated as a model 340.
